How we describe acoustics
Two different numbers get used for office pods, and they measure different things. A decibel (dB) figure for sound insulation, or speech level reduction, tells you how much quieter a voice is outside the pod than inside — that's what keeps a conversation private. ISO 23351-1 is the laboratory test for it, and grades pods from class A+ (more than 33 dB) down to class D (15–20 dB).
NRC, the noise reduction coefficient, is a score from 0 to 1 for how much sound a material absorbs instead of reflecting. Our phone booth, Focus Work Capsule and both meeting pods are lined with panels rated NRC 0.95, which cuts echo inside so calls sound clear. NRC doesn't measure how much sound gets through the walls, so it is never a “95% soundproof” claim.
Our Solo Phone Booth is rated at 38–40 dB of sound insulation. That's the manufacturer's stated figure, not an ISO 23351-1 class, and we label it that way. For the full explanation, read how soundproof is an office pod?
Before you order
Floor space
From 1.10 m² for the phone booth to 5.50 m² for the Meeting Pod 1–7 — plus room for the door to open and for people to walk past.
Ceiling height
Our pods are 220–224 cm tall. Look out for beams, lights, sprinkler heads and smoke detectors: Sweco's guidance is to keep a 500 mm clear zone around detectors.
Power
The phone booth and Solo Work Pod plug into a standard wall socket. For the larger pods, we confirm the power supply with you on the call.
Building rules
A fully enclosed pod can count as a material alteration under the Building Regulations. If you rent, tell your landlord early.

What is an office pod?

Which size do I need?

Can I use your pods outdoors?
No. All our pods are for indoor use only.
How do I see the price?
Add any pod to your basket. The price appears straight away — excluding VAT, with the total including VAT — without filling in a form or giving an email address.
What warranty do you give?
1 year on the phone booth, the Focus Work Capsule and both meeting pods.
Do office pods need Building Regulations approval?
They can. Building-standards consultancy Sweco's guidance is that bringing a fully enclosed pod into an office counts as a material alteration under the Building Regulations, so fire detection, alarm audibility, ventilation and access all need checking.
