4-person meeting pod

The Meeting Pod 1–4 is our 4-person meeting pod. It is 126 cm wide, 220 cm long and 220 cm tall (4 ft 2 in × 7 ft 3 in × 7 ft 3 in), and takes 2.77 m² (29.8 sq ft) of floor before you add room for the door and a walkway. It suits the short meetings that would otherwise tie up a full meeting room: stand-ups, one-to-ones, interviews and hybrid calls with two to four people in the room.

With four people inside, Sweco's ventilation guidance works out at no less than 40 litres per second of fresh air. That's the per-person figure (10 l/s each), which is far more than the per-floor-area figure for a pod this size. We confirm the pod's airflow with you on the call.

The photo shows it with a meeting table and four chairs, and a black shell with a yellow acoustic interior. We confirm exactly what's included, the delivery format and the lead time on the call.

7-person meeting pod

The Meeting Pod 1–7 is our 7-person meeting pod and the largest pod we sell: 250 cm wide, 220 cm long and 220 cm tall (8 ft 2 in × 7 ft 3 in × 7 ft 3 in), taking 5.50 m² (59.2 sq ft) of floor. It's set up around a boardroom-style table, for team meetings, client calls and workshops that don't need a full meeting room.

Seven people need at least 70 l/s of fresh air under Sweco's guidance, so ask about ventilation before anything else — we confirm ours on the call. The other thing to plan is width: at 250 cm, the route in matters, and we agree the delivery format with you before anything is booked.

Meeting pod or meeting room?

A meeting pod gives a small team a closed, quiet room inside the open-plan office without building new walls. It suits the short, frequent meetings that tie up a full meeting room — stand-ups, one-to-ones, interviews and hybrid calls where half the team is remote.

For long workshops that need a large screen, a whiteboard and space to move around, a conventional meeting room is still the better choice. Our guide phone booth or meeting room? helps you decide what your office actually needs.

What a meeting pod needs

Fresh air

A closed pod with several people inside needs mechanical ventilation. Building-standards consultancy Sweco's guidance for enclosed pods is 10 litres per second per person, or 1 litre per second per m² of floor area, whichever is more. That works out at no less than 40 l/s for four people and 70 l/s for seven. Ask any supplier for the fan's airflow; we confirm ours on the call.

Hearing the fire alarm

The acoustic lining that keeps a meeting private also keeps sound out. Sweco's guidance is that the fire alarm should reach at least 60 dB inside the pod, and that pods must not encroach on the 500 mm clear space around smoke detectors.

Space around it

The Meeting Pod 1–4 takes 2.77 m² and the Meeting Pod 1–7 takes 5.50 m². Both are 220 cm tall. Add room for the door and a clear walkway, and check the route in — the larger pod is 250 cm wide, so we plan its delivery with you on the call. Our guide how to measure for an office pod lists every measurement to take.

Read office pods and Building Regulations for the full checklist to share with your landlord or building control.

What's included

Both meeting pods are lined with acoustic panels rated NRC 0.95, which absorb sound inside the pod so voices stay clear on calls. They are designed for indoor use only and come with a 1-year warranty.

The photos show them furnished — a table and four chairs in the 1–4, a boardroom table and chairs in the 1–7 — and we confirm exactly what's included, the delivery format and the lead time on the call. Add one to your basket to see its price straight away.

FAQ

Meeting pods: questions, answered

How many people fit in a meeting pod?

Our Meeting Pod 1–4 is for up to four people and the Meeting Pod 1–7 for up to seven.

What size is a 4-person meeting pod?

Our Meeting Pod 1–4 is 126 × 220 × 220 cm (W × L × H) and takes 2.77 m² of floor. The published 4-person pods we compared from other makers take about 3 m² — see our guide to meeting pod sizes.

Will six people fit in the Meeting Pod 1–7?

Yes. It's designed for up to seven people, so a team of six is within its capacity with room for one more. It is 250 × 220 × 220 cm and takes 5.50 m² of floor.

Is furniture included with the meeting pods?

The photos show both pods furnished: a table and four chairs in the 1–4, a boardroom table and chairs in the 1–7. We confirm exactly what's included on the call.

Can a meeting pod go outdoors?

Not ours. Both meeting pods are for indoor use only.

What warranty do the meeting pods come with?

1 year.

Do meeting pods need Building Regulations approval?

They can. Building-standards consultancy Sweco's guidance is that a fully enclosed pod brought into an office counts as a material alteration under the Building Regulations, so fire detection, alarm audibility, ventilation and access need checking. Our guide to office pods and Building Regulations goes through each point.
