Our one-person office phone booth measures 105 × 105 × 224 cm (3 ft 5 in × 3 ft 5 in × 7 ft 4 in) and needs 1.10 m² of floor. Our largest pod, the Meeting Pod 1–7, is 250 × 220 × 220 cm and takes 5.50 m². Every size here is the external width × length × height.

Door swing isn't included. Leave room in front of the pod for its door to open fully and for people to step in and out without blocking a walkway.
Smoke detectors: building-standards consultancy Sweco advises a 500 mm clear zone around them, and says pods should not encroach on it — so if a detector is above the spot, keep at least 50 cm between it and the top of the pod.

Headroom: will it fit under my ceiling?
Our pods are 220 cm tall, and the phone booth is 224 cm. That's the height of the pod itself, so check what's above the spot you have in mind.
- Measure from the finished floor to the lowest point above where the pod will stand: beams, bulkheads, light fittings, air-conditioning units and suspended-ceiling grids all count.
- Smoke detectors: building-standards consultancy Sweco advises a 500 mm clear space around smoke detectors, and says pods should not encroach on it.
- Sprinklers: if the pod will stand under sprinkler heads, ask your building manager or sprinkler contractor how its roof affects coverage.
Door and walkway space
Allow room in front of the pod for its door to open fully and for people to step in and out without blocking a walkway. Keep fire routes and corridors clear.
Sweco's guidance is that pods should ideally be accessible to everyone: a level threshold (no more than 15 mm high in total if a raised one can't be avoided) and a 300 mm clear space beside the leading edge of the door on the pull side.
The route in: doors, lifts and stairs
Measure every door, corridor, lift and staircase from the delivery entrance to the pod's final position — including the lift car's internal size, its door opening and any tight turns. Our guide how to measure for an office pod has a checklist to send with your basket.
